The heart behind Paws by the River

My journey into professional pet care wasn’t a straight line—it was a path guided by passion. I recently relocated to Chilliwack, BC, from Squamish, where I spent several years balancing two loves: painting timber-frame homes and caring for dogs.

Alongside my work as a painter, I regularly walked dogs and provided in-home pet sitting, building strong, trusted relationships with both pets and their people. Over time, caring for dogs became more than a side role—it became what felt most meaningful.

After moving to Chilliwack, I chose to follow that calling full-time and founded Paws by the River, offering professional dog walking and pet sitting services rooted in trust, structure, and genuine care.

With over eight years of hands-on experience, I created the kind of dog care service I once searched for myself—one where dogs are treated as individuals, not numbers on a schedule, and where pet parents can feel confident their dogs are safe, respected, and truly cared for.
