This includes a fabulous selection of toys, pet carriers, great pet bowls that are both fun and sophisticated, pet clothing, life jackets and travel items to make a daily walk or car trip convenient and fun.

You will find comfortable beds, many styles of collars, tags, and leads as well as spa products to keep your pets coat and skin clean and healthy.

You will also find tempting and natural treats and pet food to keep your cat purring and your dog wagging with delight.

And for that special occasion...gift baskets that we will be happy to customize for you. Along with fabulous pet items we have some great people items as well. Leashed pets are definitely welcome at “Paws” so please bring them in to say “Hi” and meet everyone! 

A Note From The Owner

I lived in New Jersey for most of my life, until I discovered Piermont.  Drawn to its charm, warmth and love of furry friends, I moved to Piermont and opened Paws By The River in 2009.

Paws By The River is a new and budding fixture of Piermont's downtown community.  I had dreams of one day living someplace on the water and opening a shop within the community.  In Piermont I have done just that.  Captivated by a love for nature and animals, I went on to get my college degree in environmental studies.  It is this love and understanding for both the outdoors and four-legged companions that inspires the mission at Paws.

Paws By The River aims to offer pet owners and their pets a shopping experience as satisfying as a cruise with Jake on the Hudson and as exciting as Zipper and Cali's first smell of catnip.

I love finding new and different products that owners will find useful for their pets and bring them joy in spending time together.  At Paws, shopping for the perfect toy, collar or treat is a collaborative effort between pet and owner with products for browsing on two legs or four.

Having owned both dogs and cats, I select each quality product at Paws with you and your pet in mind.  I have already met so many owners and pets from Piermont and beyond, and I look forward to meeting you!
